The motorcyclist who died in a crash yesterday afternoon near Putaruru, west of Rotorua, has been named.
He was 55-year-old Pai Billy Tapurau, from Putaruru.
Tapurau crashed about 2.40pm on Whites Rd near Tapapa.
He died at the scene.
No other vehicles were involved.
