A person is seriously injured after a crash between a motorbike and car in Wellington.
Police were called to the crash on State Highway 58 (Haywards Hill Rd), between Hebden Crescent and Hugh Duncan St, at 5.55pm.
A police spokeswoman said the motorcyclist suffered serious injuries.
The incident has closed State Highway 58 between Pauatahanui roundabout and State Highway 2 Interchange.
New Zealand Transport Agency has warned motorists to avoid the area or delay travel if possible.
