Police have named the motorcyclist who died after a five-vehicle crash near Warkworth on Saturday.
Warkworth man Karl McCallion, 46, died in the crash on State Highway 1 near Satellite Station Rd intersection about 9.15pm, police said.
The incident involved four cars and a motorcycle. The driver of one of the cars was taken to North Shore hospital with moderate injuries.
The serious crash unit investigation into Mr McCallion's death is ongoing and Waitemata Serious Crash Unit Senior Constable Paul Hayward was unable to comment.
