The name of a motorcycle rider who died in a crash with a truck in Waikato yesterday has been named.
Ross Howard Blair, 45, of Te Aroha, suffered fatal injuries in the collision, which occurred at the intersection of Wardville Rd and Tower Rd near Waharoa, police said.
He was in a group of three men who were all riding motorcycles.
The driver of the truck was ``naturally very upset'', but was helping police with their investigations, senior sergeant Pete van de Wetering of the Hamilton district command centre said.
It was too early to say what had caused the crash, or to comment on the events leading up to it, he said.
