Police have named the motorcyclist who died in a crash in Christchurch on Saturday as Liam Michael Ryan-Morris, 35, of Hornby.
Ryan-Morris was killed in a crash between his motorcycle and a truck on Buchanans Rd in Hei Hei.
Emergency services were called to the scene around 1.40pm, where he was confirmed dead.
Photos from the crash site showed the motorcycle lodged under the middle of the truck.
Buchanans Rd was closed between both Vanguard Rd intersections and the intersection with Hei Hei Rd, with police advising motorists to take alternative routes and expect delays.
