Motorcyclist killed in Dannevirke crash

Police are investigating a crash which killed a 56-year-old Upper Hutt man today.

The crash occurred at about noon when a Suzuki motorbike heading
east on Route 52 near Wimbledon, east of Dannevirke, apparently lost control after rounding a corner and crashed through a fence and into some trees

The sole rider died at the scene.

His name has not yet been released.
