Motorcyclist killed in crash named

A 17-year-old Waikato motorcyclist found dead by his father and flatmate has been named.

He was Kyle Graham Jackson, of Waihou, 16km northeast of Morrinsville.

Mr Jackson's father and flatmate searched between Hamilton and Morrinsville when he failed to return home from Hamilton on Monday night.

They found his body lying in a ditch next to a power pole near Newstead, 6km east of Hamilton, early yesterday morning.

Police said it appeared the teen failed to negotiate a slight bend, rode onto the shoulder and ended up in the ditch, hitting the pole.
