The motorcyclist who was killed in a collision today has been named.
Bernard Nicholas Dekker, aged 56, from Palmerston North died after his motorcycle hit a ute at the intersection of Walkers Road, Longburn, at around 8am.
"Attempts were made to resuscitate the motorcyclist ... however he was pronounced dead at the scene," a police statement said.
