Motorcyclist killed after collision with van

Police are investigating a fatal crash in the Christchurch suburb of Linwood, which claimed the life of a motorcyclist.

A 42-year-old man died at the scene when his motorcycle collided with a van yesterday afternoon.

Police said they believed the motorcyclist had been driving erratically.

They had spoken to several witnesses and encouraged others to come forward.
