Motorcyclist dies in West Coast crash

A motorcyclist has been killed in a crash on State Highway 6 on the West Coast.

The incident happened just after midnight, north of Punakaiki. It is believed no other vehicles were involved however a scene examination will take place.

Inspector Warren Kemp says the lone motorcyclist was found on the road by a passing driver, who alerted emergency services.
