A motorcyclist has died following a collision with a van in Christchurch tonight.
Canterbury Police are at the scene of a fatal crash that occurred on Pound Road near Savills Road, Christchurch.
The crash occurred just before 5pm this evening. The male motorcyclist has been confirmed as deceased at the scene, the death has been referred to the coroner.
Diversions are likely to remain in place on Pound Road while the Canterbury Police Serious Crash Unit complete a scene examination and the road is cleared.
