Motorcyclist dies in collision with van

A motorcyclist died when his motorbike and a van collided near Motueka yesterday.

The crash happened just before 3pm on the rural Shaggery Rd in the Brooklyn Valley.

Police say the 42-year-old male motorcyclist and the van were travelling in opposite directions.

The van's three occupants were not injured and a police serious crash investigation is under way.
