A motorcyclist who crashed on the Southern Motorway yesterday has died in hospital this morning.
The woman hit a barrier and suffered significant injuries after the crash at 12.10pm at the State Highway 1 and 2 interchange, on the southern side of the Bombay Hills.
She was transported to Middlemore Hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter.
Police have confirmed this afternoon that she passed away as a result of her injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
