A Whangarei woman will stand trial over the death of her 18-month-old child who drowned in a stream at Parua Bay after she allegedly abandoned the girl in bush.
The 31-year-old, who has interim name suppression, has pleaded not guilty to manslaughter, abandoning a child and burglary.
Justices of the peace remanded her on bail to September 13, when a trial date may be set.
