"It was like an earthquake. Everything in the house has been smashed and fallen down and broken."
Ms McLeod said she had lost ornaments and items carrying sentimental value "because some idiot stole and car and was trying to get away".
She was glad the driver was alive, but said she was upset at what the driver did to her house and possessions.
Ms McLeod's 7-month-old daughter was asleep at the time and could have been at risk if the car had taken a different track.
"[The driver's] a lucky man. He's really lucky. Whatever happens he could have actually killed someone. He could have killed a baby."
Before smashing into the house, the car hit a resident's parked car, a Toyota station wagon.
Police have said nobody was injured in the crash and it was believed the car was being pursued by officers at the time.
