A woman whose house was smashed by a suspected stolen vehicle is thankful her baby daughter wasn't hurt.
A dark-coloured Holden Commodore hit a wooden fence, a bush and then came to rest against the living room of Angela McLeod's west Auckland house about 9.30 last night.
She was in the bath at the time and heard a noise that sounded like an earthquake.
"Me and my son and my baby daughter were at home and I was actually in the bathroom and my son came screaming inside into the bathroom telling me they'd been a car crash," Ms McLeod told NZME.
"I ran outside to see what had happened and the car crash was at my step, just sitting there.
