A New Zealand tourist is in a stable condition in Gold Coast Hospital this morning after being injured when a minibus carrying a family of eight rolled yesterday.
The parents and six children, aged from three to 18, were in a minibus when it rolled into a ditch beside Lamington National Park Road in the Gold Coast hinterland yesterday.
The crash occurred just before 3pm (6pm NZT).
The 41-year-old mother suffered lower back, chest and facial injuries and was flown to hospital by helicopter.
A Gold Coast Hospital spokeswoman told NZPA the woman was in a stable condition this morning.
The father and four children were also taken to Gold Coast Hospital by road and treated for minor injuries.
The two remaining children were yesterday flown by a Queensland Rescue helicopter to a Brisbane Hospital, but their injuries were not serious.
