Mother of four dies in house fire

Police have named the woman who died in a house fire in Tokoroa on Thursday night.

She was 44-year-old Susan Seymour, a mother of four.

Detective Sergeant Karl Thornton said earlier the Margaret St house was fully alight when firefighters arrived soon after 9.45pm.

Firefighters found Ms Seymour's body in one of the bedrooms.

Mr Thornton said the woman was believed to have been the sole occupant of the house at the time of the fire.

Investigations are still continuing into the cause of the fire.

The wooden house was moderately damaged in the fire.
