Police spent yesterday interviewing the mother of missing Auckland escort Carmen Thomas in the hope she might be able to help their investigation by shedding light on her daughter's personality and behaviour.
"You need to know who you're looking for; you need to know what they get up to and their habits - otherwise you're running around in circles," said inquiry head Detective Inspector Mark Benefield.
Teresa Scott arrived from South Africa on Friday night and police met her on Saturday.
