A woman accused of murdering her six-day-old son in Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital will spend a further three weeks in a psychiatric facility in Porirua.
The 29-year-old woman, whose name remains suppressed, was further remanded until April 7 by Hastings District Court today.
She did not appear in court.
She was arrested on March 3, after the baby was found dead in hospital that morning from severe head injuries.
An internal review is being carried out at the hospital following the baby's death.
