An impasse over the election of a new chairman for Motat's board of directors was resolved last night behind closed doors.
The vote to replace ousted chairman Peter Drummond was deadlocked 5-all and the board opted to seek legal advice.
However, board members later resolved their differences in a 3-hour confidential session.
Paul Bayly is the new chairman and Tom O'Connor his deputy.
