He said: "It is not a real pressure but it is a pressure of living with the thought, 'Oh, what if all these people are saying I am not going to have a career? What if they are all going to be right and will be laughing and I will be consigned to a bunch of 'Where are they now?' lists?"
Radcliffe, who has been teetotal since 2010, conceded: "I would have benefited from not drinking."

3. National flies high as new party nibbles into Greens
The Internet-Mana Party would get two seats in Parliament based on the first major poll since the two parties cut a deal to stand together.
But, three months shy of the election, Labour is still struggling and the left bloc is well adrift from National, which could easily govern alone based on the Herald-DigiPoll survey.
Herald-DigiPoll results:
The poll has National on 50.4 per cent (down 0.4), Labour on 30.5 (up 1), and the Green Party on 10.7 (down 2.4).
Of the smaller parties, NZ First is on 3.6 (no change), the Conservative Party 1.5 (up 0.2), Maori Party 0.8 (up 0.6) and Act on 0.7 (down 0.1). United Future is on 0.1 (up from zero).
Internet Mana got 1.4 - the combined total of 0.5% for Mana, the 0.2% for Internet Party and the 0.7% who said Internet Mana.
There were 12.2 per cent undecided voters.
4. Streaker on tackle: It was a good hit, eh?
The man who suffered a hard-hitting tackle by a security guard when he streaked during Saturday night's All Blacks test match says he expected to get hit - but not from behind.
Adam Holtstag says he was egged on by his mates to streak on Saturday night.
Adam Holtslag, 28, admitted he "probably started [drinking] a bit too early", but was egged on by his mates to run naked across the pitch at Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium.
The incident has divided opinion over whether Holtslag deserved the tackle or security guard Brad Hemopo, himself a Canterbury rugby player, went too far.

A 14-year-old was forced to walk home in a storm after his Hop card was blocked - but his father insists it had more than $20 credit on it.
A bus drivers' union says such incidents are common under the AT Hop system and has advised affected passengers to refuse to leave the bus.
The teenager's father contacted the Herald to complain about the incident, which he said he was still fuming over. His son walked more than 6km from The Plaza in Whangaparaoa to the family home in the strong winds of last Tuesday's stormy weather.
