Morning mayhem: Crash blocks lane on Auckland's Southern Motorway

Traffic is now free-flowing on Auckland's southern motorway after an early morning crash involving three vehicled blocked a lane.

A police spokesperson said they responded to reports of a crash involving three vehicles on the Southern Motorway, near Princes Street, around 6.35am.

"There were no injuries reported. The road was partially blocked while the scene was cleared and is now free-flowing."

The crash happened at 6.45am today, Waka Kotahi NZTA said.

"The right northbound lane is blocked just prior to the State Highway 1 Princes St Off-ramp."

The transport agency is advising motorists to pass the scene with care and expect delays as police work to clear the incident.
