More than 1 million people tuned in during the two-hour finale of The Block NZ last night, viewer figures reveal.
TV3 owners, Media Works, said 1,185,300 people watched the competition finale, which saw Alice and Caleb Pearson scoop first place and the $261,000 prize money.
Media Works TV chief executive, Paul Maher said the night was a fantastic end to the series.
"TV3 has again turned New Zealand into a nation of block-o-holics, using Media Works assets across television, radio and digital to engage Kiwis and deliver exceptional value to our viewers and clients."
Figures showed last night's finale was more popular than the final of season one. The episode attracted an average audience of 683,500 Kiwis - 39 per cent higher than last year's average audience figure of 491,600.
