More than a dozen people including four youths were arrested at Christmas in the Park last night.
The 13 arrests made were all for offences relating to alcohol and disorder, a police spokesman said.
A further ten youths were taken home by police from the annual event and had their parents called.
Last year only four people were arrested at the event, which is now in its 23rd year.
Police presence was highly visible at the event in Auckland's Domain and extra staff were also put on trains throughout the city.
