More than 60 firefighters and 15 fire appliances battled to control a factory fire on Auckland's North Shore this morning.
Fire broke out at Allo Allo Appliances in Archers Rd, Hillcrest just before 2.30am.
There have been no reports of injuries.
It took about two hours to control the fire and firefighters were still at the scene this morning, a fire communications spokesman said.
The alarm was raised by a member of the public who spotted flames coming from the back of the building as he drove past.
Firefighters from around Auckland arrived shortly after to find the 800 square metre building well ablaze. Fire quickly spread through the upper level of the two story building.
North Shore residents reported that they could see large clouds of black smoke in the area.
Fire safety officers are at the scene this morning trying to determine what caused the fire.
According to the company's website, Allo Allo Appliances recently moved to the new site in Archers Rd. No one from the company could be contacted for comment.
