A 49-year-old Upper Hutt man has been charged with more than 50 sexual offences involving girls under the age of 12 including rape and sexual violation.
The case against Darron John Fisher was called in Masterton District Court before Judge Jill Moss on Thursday when lawyer Ian Hard asked for an adjournment.
Fisher faces 17 charges of possessing objectionable material, 15 of indecently assaulting a girl under 12, 10 of sexual violation, seven alleging unlawful sexual connection with a girl under 12, six of knowingly copying or filming objectionable material and two of raping a girl under the age of 12. All relate to alleged offences in Carterton and Upper Hutt in March this year.
Fisher was remanded in custody to reappear on December 22 to plead to the charges.
