Auckland City Council, speedway supporters and the Springs Speedway Residents' Association are due to enter into a second round of negotiations tonight.
The parties met on Friday to discuss the noise constraints, but no decisions were reached.
Supporters say Saturday's march will prove speedway racing has the support of several thousand people, while the Residents' Association consists of only around 70 people.
The speedway has been postponed indefinitely until a decision is reached.
Auckland Deputy Mayor Bruce Hucker wants the event to continue, but says there has to be an agreement which suits everyone.
