Aftershocks continue to jolt the Fiordland region following the massive quake two weeks ago.
A 4.8 magnitude quake was recorded at 7.37am today, GNS Science reported.
It was centred 100km west of Tuatapere, 87km west of Invercargill, and was 12km deep.
A series of aftershocks have been shaking the region following the 7.8 magnitude earthquake on July 15.
The tremor was the largest recorded in the world this year, but because of its remote location, caused very little damage.
