Plaudits have again been bestowed on the Carterton Events Centre, which won a merit award at the 2013 Rider Levett Bucknall Property Industry Awards.
The Holloway St centre, designed by Opus Architecture, took a merit award in the Heritage and Adaptive Reuses category at the annual industry awards ceremony in Auckland this month.
A similar distinction was won at the same event by Greytown's Fresh Choice Supermarket (Progressive Enterprises) in the Retail Property category.
The two Wairarapa properties were selected alongside 76 other national finalists for the awards organised by the Property Council New Zealand.
The event is recognised as the Kiwi pinnacle of commercial property awards acknowledging properties that "add real value to New Zealand's built environment". The Carterton Events Centre last year won a New Zealand Institute of Architects Wellington Architecture Award in the public architecture section, after having taken a string of honours that included the Ingenium Excellence Award for construction projects between $2million and $10million and two highly commended citations in the Innovate NZ Awards of Excellence.
