The sun's not giving a full show this Labour Day with a far bit of cloud lingering around most of the country.
But despite the grey cover - the wet weather is likely to be confined to the West Coast of the South Island today.
Most holidaymakers hoping to make the most of their last day of freedom, should be in luck as MetService doesn't predict the wet weather will hit the rest of the country till tomorrow.
Meteorologist Stephen Glassey said the holidays wouldn't end early.
"The worst of the weather should hold off from most places until Tuesday, just in time for people to head back to work,"
