KEY POINTS:
Police have followed through with their threat to lay more drugs charges against a 21-year-old Burnside man arrested for what they described as possibly the largest seizure of ecstasy tablets in Canterbury.
When Gary Ross Duncan was arrested on three serious charges on December 11, police said further charges were likely, and five more were waiting when Duncan made a remand appearance in Christchurch District Court today.
He has now been charged with offering to sell cannabis, offering to supply the class A drug LSD and the class B drug ecstasy, supplying ecstasy, and supplying cannabis.
He previously faced charges of supplying LSD, and possession of ecstasy and cannabis for supply.
No pleas have been entered and at the request of defence counsel Pip Hall, Judge Colin Doherty remanded the assistant manager on bail to February 14 for a pre-depositions conference on all charges.
At the time of the arrest, police alleged 400 ecstasy tablets with a street value of $32,000 had been found in a drug squad search at Duncan's home.
