The success of the On-the-Water Boat Show last month, which put a whole range of big boats in front of potential buyers, has spurred a similar exercise on shore.
A marina that allows visitors to view bigger boats at cockpit level will be a feature of this year's Hutchwilco New Zealand Boat Show at the Auckland Showgrounds from May 31 to June 4.
The marina will include sail and power craft and will have an international flavour.
Alongside the New Zealand-built Oliver Marine Royale 400 and Corinthian 40 will be the Bavaria 40 from Germany and Australian Black Watch 26.
