Two further arrests have been made over the deaths of two teenage girls in a crash at Tauranga's Welcome Bay on Christmas Day.
Sisters Merepeka Morehu Clark, 14, and Brooklyn Morehu Clark, were killed when the vehicle they were travelling in allegedly sped past another vehicle and slammed into a Mitsubishi ute.
Today Detective Sergeant Peter Blackwell said that a 17-year-old male and a 36-year-old female from Tauranga have both been charged with two counts of manslaughter.
Both will appear in the Tauranga District Court tomorrow.
A 20-year-old Auckland man has already appeared in Tauranga District Court facing two counts of manslaughter.
