KEY POINTS:
Two more companies have pulled their advertising from the controversial TV3 series Californication but police continue to support the show, says a family values lobby group.
The series features explicit sex scenes, drug use and bad language.
Subway and Castrol are the latest companies to withdraw their advertising following the second episode of the series screened on Thursday night.
Bob McCoskrie, national director of Family First NZ, said this follows the six companies and a government department which withdrew their advertising following the first episode.
"Sadly and perhaps ironically, the police who advertised during the first episode and who are dealing with some of the increase in sexual crime, offensive language and behaviour and drug crimes promoted and normalised by this type of programme have said they are unwilling to remove their advertising."
TV3 has said it has no intention of pulling the show.
