Monkey dies in heat at circus

Oppressive heat on Saturday may have caused the death of one of the monkeys at Whirling Brothers Circus, currently in Dannevirke.

The owner of the circus, Tony Ratcliffe, said he and his staff were "gutted" after the death of the young monkey at Dannevirke's Aotea Sports Ground.
