KEY POINTS:
A Mongrel Mob gang member is due to appear in Hastings District Court today following a vicious assault which resulted in armed police raiding the gang's Hastings headquarters yesterday.
The assault, which left a man in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital, is alleged to have taken place on the premises last Sunday.
A 36-year-old man has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. Police are searching for two other gang members in connection with the attack.
A scene examination of the gang headquarters continues today.
