Police are investigating the discovery of what's understood to be a Molotov cocktail at Wellington's Civic Square.
The park is the former site of the Occupy protesters, who were evicted yesterday.
Protestors are continuing to occupy the site today, but without their tents.
Inspector Paris Razos said they were looking into a discovery of what appears to be a Molotov cocktail.
"We are aware and have information about an incident where a Molotov cocktail has been suggested. I can say that we have received some items that we are currently following up and conducting some enquiries on," he says.
