The three men injured in Jan Molenaar's fatal shooting rampage last week are all improving in hospital.
Molenaar shot and killed Senior Constable Len Snee last Thursday during a routine drugs operation. His funeral was held yesterday.
Senior Constables Grant Diver and Bruce Miller, and civilian Leonard Holmwood, who tried to disarm Molenaar, were also shot.
Mr Diver is now listed as stable and improving in Hawke's Bay Hospital. He was well enough to be brought to Mr Snee's funeral in a hospital bed.
Mr Miller remains critical but improving in the intensive care unit.
Mr Holmwood had further surgery yesterday to remove shrapnel and is stable but improving. He has been moved from the intensive care unit to the high dependency unit.
A police spokeswoman said the investigation into the shootings was not expected to be completed before next week.
