KEY POINTS:
Subaru has given its Legacy and Outback models an update. All of next year's models have tinted rear-side and rear windows, a feature previously only available on top-of-range versions.
The high-powered McIntosh 14-speaker sound system previously only fitted to the 3.0-litre and GT models has been extended to the 2.5-litre Luxury Legacy models.
Vehicle Dynamics Control, Subaru's electronic stability control system, has been extended to Legacy and Outback models.
The new range is headlined by a so-called Special Edition 2.5i model, which adds full leather upholstery and eight-way power-adjustable seats for $1000.
