Riversdale Beach Ratepayers' Association president Bill Roberts has "no idea" who put up Riversdale's version of Masterton's pou, but thinks it is definitely fun.
The pou, placed during Sunday night at the entrance to the community, has been done in the same style as the Masterton pou, with symbols more in keeping with a beach locality.
Mr Roberts assumed the cost would not have been as high as Masterton's pou.
"Whoever has done it, it's quite funny. The symbols aren't exactly the same, they apply to here."
Mr Robert said the arrangement "looks really good".
