Mobility scooter chase

A low-speed chase involving a mobility scooter on Ninety Mile Beach earned a 16-year-old youth a warning for not stopping from Kaitaia police who were pursuing him after he made a rude finger gesture at an officer.

The youth is understood to have lost the use of his legs in a crash three years ago.
