KEY POINTS:
Police searching a Mongrel Mob house for drugs were amused when a man drove up the drive in a car converted into a mobile P lab.
Hamilton police spokesman Andrew McAlley said police were left wondering why someone with such a cargo would pull up at a house that was obviously the subject of "police attentions".
Detective Senior Sergeant Mike Whithead said the situation had a humorous side but driving with chemicals used to make P, or methamphetamine, is dangerous.
The driver of the car is expected to appear in the Hamilton District Court today on drugs charges.
So far 28 people have been arrested in connection with yesterday's operation that targeted the Mongrel Mob gang.
