KEY POINTS:
Hastings police are hunting for a man who robbed a city service station armed with a tomahawk last night.
Detective Senior Sergeant Dave de Lange said the man entered a Mobil Service Station in Pakowhai Road about 9.30pm.
"This person threatened the male attendant and demanded cash," Mr de Lange said.
The offender ran off with an undisclosed quantity of cash.
Police wanted to hear from anyone with information.
