Mixed results the order of the day

Mixed results have been the order of the day for the Wairarapa senior men's cricket team in their Hawke Cup elimination and Chapple Cup limited-overs campaigns this season.
After two series of games in the Hawke Cup elimination series they have 14 points, with only Marlborough (20) and Hawke's Bay (15) ahead of them in their zone competition.
Taranaki are in fourth place with 10pts, followed by Manawatu 8, Wanganui 7, Nelson 2 and Horowhenua-Kapiti 1.
In the Chapple Cup, however, Wairarapa are still to notch a point and are equal last on 0 with Horowhenua-Kapiti. Up front are Marlborough with 9pts, ahead of Nelson 8, Taranaki 5 and Hawke's Bay, Wanganui and Manawatu, all of whom have 4

Hawke Cup: Taranaki 252 and 6-0 beat Wanganui 137 and 119 by 10 wickets, Marlborough 212-9 and 45-0 beat Horowhenua-Kapiti 98 and 157 by 10 wickets, Wairarapa 276 beat Nelson 125 and 246-3 on the first innings, Hawke's Bay 482-9 beat Manawatu 110 and 300-7 on the first innings.
Chapple Cup: Wairarapa 214-8 lost to Nelson 215-7 by 3 wickets, Hawke's Bay 228-8 lost to Manawatu 229-7 by 3 wickets, Marlborough 240 beat Horowhenua-Kapiti 162 by 78 runs, Wanganui 216 lost to Taranaki 217-2 by 8 wickets
