Five workmen at the centre of an emergency in an Auckland tunnel have been found safe and well.
Emergency services were called when the men had not been heard from for three hours.
They were expected to report in every 30 minutes, but had not been heard from since 7.30pm, TV3 reported.
The underground tunnel runs for more than 3kms from Nuffield Street in Newmarket to Hobson St in the central city, and is believed to contain electrical cabling.
The men were thought to have been assessing gas levels.
