A woman and a child stranded overnight after their vehicle was found stuck in sand on Ninety Mile Beach in the Far North, have been found safe and well.
Police began searching for Christine Issac, in her 20s, and Mere Howard, seven, after they failed to reach their destination late last night after a drive along Ninety Mile Beach.
Their car was found stuck in sand and the tide had been through it but there was no sign of the missing pair.
Police said they were cold and hungry but not hurt.
They were found about 9.30am.
