Missing Whangarei man found dead

An 89-year-old man who was reported missing in Whangarei has been found dead.

Christopher Kapa was last seen alive in the Raurimu Ave area of Onerahi on Thursday night.

Police put out a release yesterday afternoon, saying they were concerned for his welfare and urging anyone who may have seen him to contact them.

A police spokeswoman said there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, which will be referred to the Coroner.
