An Omani couple spent a cold night in the open after they failed to return from a day walk near Wellington yesterday.
Police and land search and rescue volunteers searched for the couple in their 50s after they were reported missing from a walk near the coastal community of Eastbourne.
The couple were found shortly after 6am today at Gollan's Stream, south of Eastbourne, Sergeant Stephen Ross of police central communications said.
Mr Ross said the couple were cold but did not require medical attention.
Police earlier said the couple were healthy, fit and experienced in the outdoors, but neither were dressed or equipped appropriately for spending a night in the open.
