KEY POINTS:
The mother of a toddler who disappeared 15 years ago has been committed for trial in Christchurch's High Court on a charge of producing methamphetamine.
Nicola Kay Cruickshank was committed at the end of a depositions hearing in Christchurch District Court today in which the evidence of all witnesses was handed up in written form, the Christchurch court news website reported.
Police prosecutor Trudi Aickin said the prosecution would call six witnesses - five of them police officers and the sixth is a fingerprint witness.
Cruickshank, 39, of Kaiapoi, is the mother of two-year-old Amber-Lee Cruickshank, who disappeared at Kingston, near Queenstown, in 1992 and no trace of her has been found.
Defence counsel Tony Greig today conceded there was a case to answer on the drugs charge.
Cruickshank was committed to a High Court pre-trial conference to set the trial date, on March 14. Bail was continued.
