A 14-year-old boy who had been missing for two weeks has been found safe and well in Christchurch.
Until yesterday, Chinyanta (Chi Chi) Mfwembe had not been in contact with family members since leaving his family home in Sydenham on Tuesday, January 7.
Christchurch police said the boy was located safe and well yesterday afternoon in the Cashmere area, after information was received from a member of the public.
He has been returned to his family.
The Zimbabwe-born teenager had lived in New Zealand with his family for five years and spoke English well, police said.
